    Hi,

I usually buy preservative k (=euxyl k 700) which is not cheap and it´s not always in stock. I do have the ingredients at home so I was thinking about doing the blend myself. I would appreciate some feedback.

What do you guys think of a blend of:

    0,3% phenoxy

    0,3% benzyl alcohol

    0,2 % potassium sorbate

    0,2% tocopherol

    plus 0,1% edta.

Good idea - but do not “blend”. Formulate as individual ingredients and, if pH allows, use Na benzoate rather than sorbate. Doubt you really need the tocopherol.

Not that I should ever add on to a Dr Phil comment…but two of the ingredients, performance will be very tied to pH…which you did not mention. 🙂

pH is 5 for a body cream @Graillotion

Is it ok for sodium benzo?
