ALS is much milder than SLS according to Paula's choice. Is that true?

In Paula's choice ingredient dictionary they rate sodium lauryl sulfate as poor and says it is skin sensitizer at 2-5% and ammonium lauryl sulfate as good and says it is a gentle surfactant.

I am currently using SLS/SLES/CAPB/APG @ 3/7/2/2 percent active surfactants.

is ALS really milder than SLS if combined with these other surfactants in a formula.
