Viscosity measurement parameters for carbomer gels

OK, all. I need to get a good pool of answers for this question so weigh in if you can. What Brookfield model/spindle/speed - helipath or not -  have you historically used to measure the viscosity of carbomer-based gels. I mean final FORMULAS, not the polymer raw materials; those are established already.

  • For this type of gels, I usually use the Brookfield DV-E, spindle 05 or 06, 10 to 30 rpm.

I don't recall the spindle or RPM but I think it was T-bar B. But we definitely used the Heliopath when measuring gels.
