Carrier oil

I am making gelée oil products. I need a base oil (that is not wildly known or already common in the industry). Could you suggest to me some of these ingredients? Thank you.

  • If you only use a small amount to gelling agent, maybe Chia Seed Oil?

But whatever you choose make sure it’s not prone to oxidation. Most of these exotic oils have high iodine value.

  • My favorite is rose hip oil + 0.1% vitamin e
  • These are a few types of vegetable oils that I don't see very often in products:
    • Cacay Seed Oil (INCI: Caryodendron Orinocense Seed Oil)
    • Prickly Pear Seed Oil (INCI: Opuntia Ficus-Indica Seed Oil) => this oil is very expensive
    • Kukui Nut Oil (also Candlenut Oil, INCI: Aleurites Moluccanus Seed Oil)
    • Strawberry Seed Oil (INCI: Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry) Seed Oil)
    • Oat Oil (INCI: Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil)
  • Kukui Oil is a very nice carrier and not too expensive. Ive used it in massage oils, it has a very thin non greasy feel
  • Moringa oil is very much on trend and has outstanding oxidative stability.
  • Mamey oil is similar to Argan oil but higher in unsaponifiables.
