Hello, does anyone know what the ph should be for making a purple shampoo? acidic or alkaline?

    Shampoos are generally acidic.
  • Just asking because I had success making purple conditioner, which is acidic, but not a shampoo, it is acidic too but it does not deposit the pigment.

It depends which colorant you’re using to deposit the color. If you’re using acid violet 43, you’ll need a specific grade.
