Machinery for a start up

hi 

I have been in the distribution of cosmetics as well as the chemical sides to it for a while 

I would like to manufacture due to complex reasons, rather than get it done elsewhere 

I would like to be directed towards machines that:.

- fill tubes 
- fill jars and bottles 
- at least semi automatic if not fully 


If you could kindly let me know on brands and approx price range, would highly appreciate

have a look on ebay and Alibaba - there's an extraordinary range of machinery for sale

for what it's worth I'd suggest going with semi-automatic to start with, unless you're making very high volumes; more heavily automated a machine is (hence, the more complex), the harder to maintain and the more expensive it gets

Also look for second hand equipment that is often sold off when factories close.

If you let us know your location perhaps someone can give better suggestions.

Hi,

they're mostly chinese? i've learnt not to trust chinese, or am i wrong?

based in europe, is there websites that point towards people selling? how can i know how well maintained they are?

Unfortunately I don't know any websites in Europe (I am in Australia) but others may be able to help.

You could ask for maintenance logs but they may not be available. It is the same risk as buying a used car. It is cheaper but you don't always know the history.

I use a custom made filling machine made by Universal Filling Machine Company in the UK. It is very well engineered, precise, and hand operated. www.universalfilling.com

Part of the process was that I sent samples of our liquids to them for testing before they released the machine. To-date, after four years of solid use, the results have been excellent. It covers bottle sizes 30 mL to 250 mL +

Price ex-works in 2004 was £3,450.00. I'm very happy with this machine.

wouldn't you say thats very pricey ?
