Ain't SLES too foamy for laundry detergents?

Foam is undesirable in laundry detergents as it may stick to the washer machine walls and won't get rinsed out
in fact, newer front loading machines require high efficiency detergents with almost no foam.

Many laundry detergent formulations include SLES
i.e.

Why not just skip SLES and add more alkylbenzene sulfonate which cleans better and foams less?

Cost is the first issue, secondly how else you would sell the secondary chemicals if you give a perfect formula to the customer ?
