I make a hair straightener formula with the following
    5% lanette O
    5% lanette 16
    5% dehyquart A
5% petrolatum ( I use Vaseline instead of it)
    2% paraffine oil
    1.5% NaOH
I don’t agree with this anywhy because it dry the hair after using it
How can I improve this formula to be good and make the hair more moisture and more straightener
    ## the formula make the hair straightener about 80% and 0% moisture

Your formula only adds up to 23.5%.  What’s in the other 76.5%?

1,5% NaOH seems like an awful lot. Have you checked the pH? Do you use NaOH in powder form, or a dilution?
10% of fatty alcohols also seem a lot to me.
    You don’t use preservatives?

    @Doreen thanks Friend
NaOH is diluted solution and I know the that pH is above 7 and this increase the straighte for hair
and fatty alcohols I seem it is not a lot and I want to increase it a little or increase the petrolatums or add pq7 or citol HE or any equivalent compound
    What’s your suggests

You mean the pH of your NaOH dilution or your product is above 7? Have you measured it exactly?
    And what are your preservatives?

@Doreen think it is a lye based hair straightener and so the pH is on a much higher side.
@Chemist_Ahmed have you tried increasing the oil phase in increments like 10%, 15% and so on and so forth.
This is an extremely common recipe and if you search google properly, I am sure you will have success.

@Doreen I focusing on the result and its just a sample so I didn’t use preservative
The pH of the product is around 9
@Chemist77 do you mean increase paraffin oil or what
And I search every  where and I didn’t reach to anything
Can you put some links that I can read it please
    Thanks all my friends
