Hi Does anyone know how long finished product samples need to be stored for to comply with GMP in the EU? I thought it was 1 year after the expiry date but I found out that was for medicinal products not cosmetics.
for what it's worth, whenever we've been audited under ISO 22716 (the worldwide cosmetic GMP standard), the question has never been asked
as a rule we store retained samples for three years after the date of manufacture, except for customers who require them to be stored for longer, and our auditors have never had an issue with this
UK based formulation chemist. Strongest subjects: hair styling, hair bleaches, hair dyes (oxidative and non-oxidative)
I know some stuff about: EU regulations, emulsions (O/W and W/O), toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoos, other toiletries
