Heating Silicones

Hi all!
I usually try to avoid heating silicones, or adding them to emulsions after combining water/oil phases at temperatures below 50 C, because silicones are volatile.
Why does Jeen have a sample formula where you heat Isododecane+Bis-Vinyl Dimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer to 75-80 C? Does the Isdodecane decrease the volatility, or because this is in a gel structure it isn't as volatile as Cyclomethicone or something along that vein?

    - only some. I would hardly call dimethicone fluid 1000cst volatile...

  •  Isododecane+Bis-Vinyl Dimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer is not volatile so no worries about heating  to 80C.The silicone polymer likely holds the ISD in the polymer matrix but even so that particular silicone unlike D4 or D5 is not volatile.

    also, you want to make sure you only ever stir it clockwise; if you stir it anti-clockwise you'll induce a Coriolis effect which may affect the stability of your product
