I am making a shampoo with a customer supplied formulation.  Amongst other things it contains Ketoconazole, Chlorhexidine Gluconate solution, glycolic acid (about 1% active).  Final pH is 5.0 to 5.9 (maybe 5.5 not sure).  The keto in this formulation is not stable.  Anyone have any ideas how to fix?

When I say not stable I mean within a week or so starts to drop.  Thanks.

is it definitely the ketoconazole that’s coming out?

(I ask as chlorhexidine gluconate is one of the most temperamental ingredients I’ve ever tried to formulate with, and will crash out of solution at the slightest provocation)

Maybe I wasn’t clear.  Nothing is actually dropping out.  The concentration when tested of Ketoconazole drops.  We put in 1% and when we send for testing we get about 0.8%, test again a few weeks later 0.7%
