Making a supplier change for our hair styling products.

What is the difference between PVP/VA and VP/VA copolymer? Both 73w version.

    Thanks!

there’s no difference - they’re two different terms for the same material

    Thanks @Bill_Toge

Would there be a noticeable difference between:

    K value 1% in ethanol: 24-32

    K Value 1% in water: 30-38

If so, what would the difference be?

the K-value is proportional to the viscosity, which is higher in water than it is in alcohol, because water forms much stronger bonds with its solvates than alcohol does, so comparing the two values is not meaningful
the best way to compare the two directly is to make up the finished product with each material and determine whether there’s any difference
