    Hello,

Im making a simple solution for some deodorant wipes but im having an issue with separation, any advice appreciated.

    water qs

    water soluble deodorant active 0.5%

    propanediol 3%

    triethyl citrate 0.5%

    niacinamide 0.1%

    fragrance 0.25%

poly suga muls d9 1% (to solubilize fragrance)

    euxyl k 712 1%

Im not sure what the fragrance is made out of, whether its synthetic or essential oils etc. so i used a solubilizer that should work in aqueous solutions but im still getting some separation. Also the TEC takes a while to dissolve but eventually does. Do we think its something else? or should i choose a different solubilizer. any help appreciated.

I can’t see clearly the issue from the picture. Is it oil droplets that go to the surfce of your product?

yes, the TEC wont fully dissolve in the water. once I remove it, I see no issues.

Hi, I would definitely recommend increasing the level of poly suga mulse. You are on the low end at 1%, where in a leave on product you’re within the recommendation to use up to 3%. If you don’t do it already, a premix would be helpful as well. The TEC shouldn’t be causing any issues, it is only slightly miscible in water, so it will take awhile to go in.

Have to ask - what is your pH?

        Don’t think preservation is enough.
