Does the course include natural formulations and organic formulations? Will it be useful, if I want to focus on organic formulations only?. Thanks.
Yes. But if you have no formulation experience, I would suggest taking our standard formulation course first. http://chemistscorner.com/members
where can you take a standard formulation course? I have my degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I just completed a cosmetology 1000 hour certification and I want to transition from vaccine research to Cosmetic Formulation
Hello – You can sign up for the standard course here. http://chemistscorner.com/members
Hi Perry. Can i study the practical cosmetic formulating even if i want to formulate only natural products in the future?
Yes. I think once you learn more about formulating your views on what “natural products” means will change.
Let me know if you ever open a payment plan. I would love to take both your courses. But at the moment it’s not an option.
Hi, Perry I would like to join the course for formulating natural cosmetics for natural hair.
please let me know how to join the price
You can learn more here. http://chemistscorner.com/natural-cosmetics/
Hello Perry, I have chosen the ingredients I want to use in the cosmetics I want to make, but I am not good at putting the exact amount of each, Can you help with that? Also how tho get costs of the ingredients that I want to use on each cosmetics either lip balms, soaps, shampoos, oils etc. Are you going to teach about that? Thank you!!!
It sounds like you would be best served by working with a contract manufacturer or a cosmetic formulation consultant. I’d suggest you see our forum for a consultant who specializes in natural formulations.
Hey I have a few questions about your program wondering if it teaches anything on color formulation?
Yes, we do cover color formulation although it is not the main focus.
Please give me information
Would like to know aboutnatural cosmetic formulating
Was very intresting
I am interested to know content and course price please
You can find more information here. http://chemistscorner.com/natural-cosmetics/
Is this course not for people with science/chemistry background?
Yes, there are people who have taken the course who do not have science backgrounds.
The video is very informative and easy to understand. I am a fresh undergraduate in Biotechnology. I am interested to work in an industry that is producing skin care, hair care, etc. products. Is the course recognized and appreciated to pen it down on the resume to enter into an industry? Thank You.
I am interested in formulating natural/organic body care lotions just for myself.
Do you offer any sessions that are not as detailed as your 3 videos?
By the way, I enjoyed watching your presentations even though you talked a little too fast for me to absorb all of the information.

Hello – The only other thing we offer is our Natural Formulating course.
do you take payment plans
At the moment we do not.
I am a pharmacist interested in making cosmetics as natural as possible without sensitizers/irritants.
Both practical cosmetic formulation and formulating natural cosmetics program you offer sounds good… BUT I would like to start with one program at a time.
Which one would you recommend for someone with science background who is just starting to explore cosmetic formulation? Will I be able to start either courses immediately?
Thank you 🙂
I would recommend you start with the Practical Cosmetic Formulating course. http://chemistscorner.com/members This gives you a better background of all formulating than the Natural course. Yes you can start immediately.
i really want to complete this course and start right now but i have a life changing event very soon – i am moving to another country. it is the USA, btw 🙂 and therefore my question is this – will i be able to study at my own pace or i will have to keep up with the class of students?
Yes, you can study from anywhere in the world.
Is this course still open to registration?
Yes, you can still register.
We have already formulated and manufactured excellent 100% natural skin care products. We just need to have help marketing these products. They also contain many organic ingredients. They have been laboratory tested for stability and sensitivity. Could you please advise how we may get our products marketed right away. We are a very small company and have limited funds, but our products are very competitive in quality with any well-known company.
Are you able personally to help us get in touch with consumers who would appreciate these products, and/or do you know anyone who could help us? Thank you for any help you can give us.
You’ve stumbled on the greatest challenge of any beauty brand…marketing. Anyone can make good products. Selling them is a lot harder. You could look to Elance.com and see if there are any freelance marketers who would help you. I can’t personally help at the moment as I’m not currently in this line of work.
Hi Peter! Am able to start the class now . Thanks you for you’re time . Please sent me the information ASAP!!! I hope am not too late!
Good Morning Perry,
I missed signing up for your Natural Formulating Course by one day. Is it too late to sign up & is the discounted price still available? I am extremely interested in this course. I have actually started formulating bases for Ethnic Hair & wanted to learn about more natural alternatives that can be used in these bases.
You can still sign up for the course through the end of the month but the price has increased. At the end of the month we will be closing down the course to new registrations.
I love that you compare different brands for different degrees of “natural”. What about Lush?
Thanks! Lush uses many of the same standard ingredients as the big cosmetic corporations. They go for a “home made” / natural story but they are mostly greenwashing.
This is a mazing
Hi Perry, if I was to sign up for the ‘Practical Cosmetic Formulating course’ so that I can better prepare myself as you suggested in the video – not sure if I have enough time to do this before 17th Feb… What do you recommend, do the course concurrently? Any discount if one was to sign up for PCF course plus this natural edition at the same time? Many thanks!
Hello Tomoka – I would recommend doing the PCF course first. You can sign up for it and I will hold open a spot in the natural’s course for all PCF students.
thank u , i really appreciate all the info that u share with us, i am trying to create my own natural cosmetic formula that i can market here in country Malaysia. I read all yr emails and watched all your videos and i hope one day i can sit infront of u and u can guide me, i wanted to have my own skincare and cosmetic factory here. I am going to sign up Perry ! and consider arranging seminar for all of us to meet u face to face 🙂
Finally, you made it!!!!
It’s time for new course and I signed up yesterday!!!
I’m really glad to attend your new course again.
Looking forward! 🙂
Great Jake! I’m looking forward to getting it start too.
For some reason this video has no sound for me and stops about 12 seconds into it? Not sure why as I viewed the other videos without a problem. Thanks for your help
Sorry for the technical problems. I would suggest you try updating your browser or use one that I know works. Chrome or Firefox.
Awesome video!! As a beginner this was very informative. I have made some natural body scrubs, lip balms. And even natural soap. I am interested in learning how to formulate Mariel cosmetics. Please send me info on your course. Such as price of the course.
Click on the pre-register button to see more information.
Can you please advise if your course will cover the use and functions of natural herbal extracts and oils etc ?
Thank you and regards,
Yes, we will cover the function of herbal ingredients.
I am in the process of formulating natural cosmetics, so your course would be perfect, but I was wondering if I have questions a while after the completion of the course (when I will be formulating for real and finishing my products 🙂 ), will you still answer them?
And how long will this course last?
Hello Ivo – Yes, I’ll continue to answer your questions. You can just email me. The course will be 6 modules taken over the course of 12 weeks. But you’ll have access to the information for as long as you need it. And you can continue to ask me questions you might have.
Very interesting presentation and I am also interested in the class.
Great! Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for bringing this course/info to light. It’s unique, real, and very useful.
Very interested in learning more!
Is there a list of supplies needed to complete the course?
There will be a list of resources related to the course but there is nothing more required for finishing the course. It really depends on what formulas you want to make and what kind of testing you want to do.
Really glad to see this type of course being offered by an experience cosmetic chemist. I believe there is a huge untapped market of people that would like to learn to make and sell natural products. I am a bit busy right now preparing for a new business launch, but would like to take this course at some point in the future.
Thanks for the kind words William. If you’re intending to take the course later, you could still sign up now and get the savings. You can complete the course whenever you like as your login never expires.
Just pre- registered for the course. My goal is to launch natural product line in next two years . I have stumbled upon few road blocks like the viscosity of the shampoo using natural ingredients so this course will be perfect for me. I am going to follow through this course very closely. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Hello Vibha – Welcome to the class! We will certainly cover information about shampoo viscosity. If there is any questions that you still have after going through a lesson I’ll also be available to answer those.
I just pre-registered for the course and quite excited to get started, learn as much every inch of the way. Though I didn’t take the 1st formulating course, I am sure I’ll get my way around with a good teacher and coach.
I just hope I’d find the materials and chemicals that’s gonna be covered in the course as I live in the Philippines. There are a few suppliers here and there but some chemicals need sourcing out.
Hello Lloyd! Thanks so much for joining. The class is filling up fast. I’m looking forward to getting things started.
Here is a link to a fantastic supplier, it might help if you mention my name, (no I am not paid for this info) their email is MGhanem@formulatorsampleshop.com she has been a great help to me and their products are some of the best I have found (for the price).
