In these times I feel that it’s important not to limit our imagination in coming up with ideas and here’s one.
We hear reports of health workers tying bin bags around their arms and legs because of no PPE. In particular I am thinking of poor countries which may not be able to afford to buy PPE.
So… what could be cheaper and more disposable than newspaper? I thought, if I could tailor (from simple patterns) a newspaper suit, and use double sided tape for joins… but newspaper isn’t strong enough and it won’t resist fluids. I wondered, perhaps if I make a solution of hot PVP and spray it onto the newspaper (both sides) and leave to dry. An alcohol component would allow faster drying. But would it be durable enough for temporary use?
Laminated version: Apply clingfilm before the PVP sets.

Sewing and gluing newspaper, spraying and drying etc. sounds like a lot of work… why not bin bags? They are easy to use and air- and hence virus-tight.
