    Dear all,

    Please how can the texture of a beeswax based hair pomade be improved? To make the consistency appear like petroleum jelly without using that?

    try to add butter and liquid oil @Oladoo you will just need to work on the adequat proportion.

    Thank you. But what type of butter will you suggest? Shea butter easily becomes rancid

    @Oladoo Almost butter will work however not true that shea butter easily rancid cause as almost butter it is too rich of saturated acid (stearic acid) wich is not easily rancid. Other solution you can use esterified beewax  as cerabellina that give creamy product instead waxy one .

    Shea butter easily becomes rancid
    Not in my experience. Very stable.

    Koster Keunen carries Cera Bellina. They are in the USA, not sure of anyone outside the US.

     C32-36 Isoalkyl Stearate will also give a smooth creamy consistancy. Lanolin wax sub.
