  • Ingredients to add drag to lip product?

    Hello!

What ingredient(s) would you recommend to add drag to a lip product? I’ve tried lanolin but it added too much sheen to the end product. I’m also looking into polyhydroxystearic acid. I am hoping to keep this as “matte” as possible.

Please let let me know your suggestions! This is for an anhydrous formulation. Thank you!

To get better answers you should include a list of all the ingredients already in your formula.

Thank you Perry! I am already working with beeswax, soy wax, caprylic/capric triglycerides, and stearic acid to varying percentages. Nothing too crazy.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

is this a liquid lipstick, isododecane perhaps?? Newbie with lippie formulation but I tried it with carnauba, candelilla and isododecane and such, it had a good “matte” effect. Now I am in the verge of making it long lasting?
I think its the combination of wax too.?
