Cetosteryl alcohol co-emulsifier

We currently use cetosteryl alcohol with cetomacrogol 1000 .
This combination works fine for normal cream.
What about  cetosteryl alcohol with sorbitan stearate combination.
aproximate proportion?
Any suggestions?

Well It's cream base is fine for our pharma/some cosmetic products.
Is good to  replace Cm1000 for Sorbitan Stearate?

  • No, this probably won't work.  Cetomacrogol 1000 (Ceteareth-20) has an HLB of 15.7.  Sorbitan Stearate has an HLB of 4.7

If you are going to replace a high HLB material, you'll need to use another high HLB material.
