    Hi!

My team is currently doing a mixing trial to validate
the formula below, now the constraint my team faces is not achieving the
desired viscosity, because one of my team made a mistake when mixing the bulk
by circulating, so the bulk produces small foams which is so dense that it
confuses the specification of the product to be filled to
the actual packaging (Tube 100 gram).

I need your advice if there is one way to remove the foam and make the bulk
solid paste like charcoal face wash on the market.

Here is list for the INCI and percentage:

    Glycerin 4
    Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate 0.05
    Aqua 43.12
    Propylene Glycol 4
    Myristic Acid 15
    Palmitic Acid 10
    Glycol Distearate 2
Hydrogenated Castor Oil (and) Stearic Acid
    (and) Glycol Distearate (and) Tocopherol
    2
    Sorbitol (and) Maltitol 8
    Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate. 5
    Potassium Hydroxide 5
    Phenoxyethanol (and) ethylhexylglycerin 0.7
    Papain 0.01
melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil 0.01
    Charcoal 0.5
    Fragrance 0.5
    Tocopherol 0.1
Salix Alba (White Willow) Bark Extract 0.01

    CHEERS 🙂

The dense (tight bubble) foam is coming from myristic/palmitic soap you are forming in-situ.You can either use a versator to de-foam or perhaps first try adding KOH sub-surface with minimal agitation.

Hi bro, thanks for your advice, I’ve tried trial in my lab by heating the bulk at 40-45 ° C and centrifuging it with the centrifuge, the result of the trapped solid foam can be separated, my question now is, is it possible in tank on production scale? where the tank that my team is using now is a vacuum tank with a capacity of 1600kg, with its homogenizer system like circulation system. cheers. 🙂

sounds like you need an in-line versator do re-foam during circulation

Hi, bro! Today, I do a test run on my production line where the size tank I’ve used is 400kg with a 200kg bulk estimate quantity. I do a bulk heating at 45-50°C with stirring done while 30 minutes interval conducted vacuum process with pressure 40cmHg for 5 minutes. For the result, I will see tomorrow. I hope it will save the bulk I have now. 🙂 Do you all in this forum have any advice maybe?
