Gelling Agents

I'm trying to formulate a clear lipstick (I know it's a fad but we've been getting quite a few requests). A combination of Polyamide-3 and Polyamide-8 (total of ~40%) create a stick from the mold but are a bit too jelly-like and not hard like an actual lipstick.
We have experimented with Dextrin Palmitate, Dibutyl Lauroyl Glutamide and Covasilc-15 but haven't had much luck.

The closest I've gotten is with 5% Dibutyl Lauroyl Glutamide, 15% Polyamide-3 and 20% Polyamide-8 and it was hazy and not aesthetically pleasing. I thought I used too much Glutamide so decreased it to 2% and it didn't harden.

Waxes opacify the stick even at 0.5% so any suggestions would be helpful! :-)
