    Hello!

I have been encountering problems with balling of the cream/peeling of the cream on the skin when formulating with most thickeners.
Good to know that I am not working with conventional emulsifiers, but with particles to stabilize my creams/emulsions.
Every time I add a thickener I tend to get the balling/rolling off/peeling off of the formulation on skin when I keep rubbing the skin while the formulation is drying.
I have tried a Carbopols (10 ,30), celluloses and natural gums without any success.
The formulation doesn’t show this feature if I don’t use a thickener.

My understanding is that the thickeners create networks which the particles get stuck into when rubbing on the skin which create the balling. Apparently people working with microbeads have had similar problems but I can not find a solution that works for me.

I appreciate all input and suggestions.

    Kind regards,
    Ali

How do you possibly expect anyone to help when you provide zero information?
