Hello everyone. I have a problem with the facial toner I’m formulating. The formula contains only 2 plant extracts and 1 preservative. It is alcohol-free. Problem is, after 1 month at room temperature, fiber-like “precipitates” began to settle at the bottom of the PET bottle we are using. Can you help me solve this problem?

Please include the formula. We have no information to speculate anything.

Even without the formula, I’d be leaning towards a yeast/mold contamination as the problem.

As @Bobzchemist said it might be a type of contamination, use dip slides from Schülke & Mayr and you would have the results within 24-48 hours of incubation. If not then you need to put the formula up here so that non-speculative suggestions can be made.
