    hey guys

Formulating a w/o face cream for dark spots/ uneven skin tone. I know that actives should be added the end of the formula but my actives are water soluable and can tolerate heat. To be on the safe side does it make a difference when I add them?

Water phase=aqua, propylene glycol, nicinamide2%, licorice root extract 1%, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate 2%

If you know for sure that your actives are not heat sensitive then most likely you can add to water phase while heating.  Check with the supplier or manufacturer of the active to make sure there are no other reasons why you should add at the end.

Agreed.  If they are heat stable then adding sooner rather than later is preferred as it gives more time to get thoroughly mixed in the formula.
